Chlorine dioxide is known as a powerful disinfectant and oxidising agent, also excellent at destroying odours.
Our ECODIOX generators are available from 0,2 to 430g/h Chlorine dioxide generating capacity, working after the hydrochloric acid - salt solution method.
Chlorine dioxide has been found to be superior to chlorine as a disinfectant. This chemical has a higher
oxidising reduction potential than chlorine and can achieve destruction of such organic substances and
virus which are not attacked by chlorine. At identical concentrations the capability of chlorine dioxide to
destroy spores and virus is higher than that of chlorine.
The use of chlorine dioxide eliminates the
formation of undesirable or harmful THMs (trihalomethanes), and oxidises unpleasant pollutants such as phenols.
Unlike chlorine, chlorine dioxide have no effect to the pH range of the treated water.
The technology is ofen used for continuous disinfectioning applications in the food-industry, drinking water systems and for swimming pools.
ECODIOX devices are equipped with two dosing pumps and controlled by microprocessor, that enables (besides manual) an automatic regulated operation with the continuous displaying of safety functions and service data from the chlorine dioxide generation and dosage.
